Indigenous Women In Cannabis

On March 30th 2019 OrGanja Cannabis Society event 'Bridging The Gap Series' held the first ever "Indigenous Women in Cannabis" event that celebrates the role of Indigenous women in the cannabis industry. This event was created to bring together Indigenous women, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities that exist for Indigenous women in the cannabis industry.

This event focused on the importance of community involvement, education, and advocacy within the African Indigenous Diaspora Community (AIDPOC). Attendees had the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers, including Indigenous entrepreneurs like Allison Gibson, industry experts such as Sherry Boudrum, and Indigenous community activist Pauline Miracle. These speakers shared their stories of success and failure, emphasizing the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive environment for Indigenous women in the industry.

Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage in panel discussions and workshops. These interactive sessions provided attendees with the opportunity to learn from one another and share their experiences. Through these sessions, attendees were able to gain valuable insight into the unique challenges faced by Indigenous women in the cannabis space and how the industry can better serve the needs of Indigenous communities.

Overall, Indigenous Women in Cannabis was a success, providing attendees with the opportunity to learn, network, and advocate for the rights of Indigenous women in the cannabis industry. We look forward to attending next year's event, as well as other events that promote the rights and well-being of Indigenous
